Message: Our Lady then spoke: “See, my daughter, my Heart encircled by thorns with which ungrateful men pierce it at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. Do you, at least, strive to console me. Tell them that I promise to assist at the hour of death with the graces necessary for salvation all those who,in order to make reparation to me, on the First Saturday of five successive months, go to confession, receive Holy Communion, say five decades of the Rosary, and keep me company for a quarter of an hour, meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary.”

The elements of this devotion, therefore, consist in the following four points, all of which must be offered in reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. One should make this intention before carrying out Our Lady’s requests. A renewal of the actual intention at the time is best; however, if such an intention is made now, it will fulfill the requirements if, for instance, the actual intention is forgotten at the time of confession.


Confession: This confession can be made before the First Saturday or afterward, provided that Holy Communion be received in the state of grace. In 1926, Christ in a vision explained to Lucia that this confession could be made a week before or even more, and that it should be offered in reparation.

Holy Communion: Before receiving Holy Communion, it is likewise necessary to offer it in reparation to Our Lady. Our Lord told Lucia in 1930, “This Communion will be accepted on the following Sunday for just reasons, if my priests allow it so.” So if work or school, sickness, or another just reason prevents the Communion on a First Saturday, with this permission it may be received the following Sunday. If Communion is transferred, any or all of the other acts of the devotion may also be performed on Sunday if the person so desires.

Rosary: The Rosary is a vocal prayer said while meditating upon the mysteries of Our Lord’s life and Passion and Our Lady’s life. To comply with the request of our Blessed Mother, it must be offered in reparation and said properly while meditating.

15-minute meditation: Also offered in reparation, the meditation may embrace one or more mysteries; it may include all, taken together or separately. This meditation should be the richest of any meditation, because Our Lady promised to be present when she said “...those who keep me company....”
To those who faithfully follow Our Lady’s requests for the Five First Saturdays, she has made a wonderful promise which she, as Mediatrix of All Graces, will certainly fulfill: “I promise to assist at the hour of death with the graces necessary for salvation.” This means that our Blessed Mother will be present at the hour of death with the actual grace of final perseverance, (which after the gift/grace of Faith), is the most important grace.

After completing the Five First Saturdays, one may continue the devotion simply to console the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady. A tender love of our Blessed Mother will lead one to do all he can to make reparation for the sins which pierce her Immaculate Heart. Let us remember, too, that although Our Lady made this promise to those who would observe five such First Saturdays in succession, in her July apparition she asked simply that Communions of reparation be made on every First Saturday to atone for the sins of the world.

Message: Please pray for my 10 year old son and I. We joined the annual Suzuki Music Institute this week on the recommendation of my son's cello teacher because my son is playing so well. But it has been a very stressful week, encountering problem after problem with his cello parts breaking down and other problems, ending with a big fight tonight between my husband and I all because I've been so stressed out from this intensive week from simply wanting my son to perform his best.

He was chosen to perform this afternoon, Friday, at 3:15 in the Honors recital. Not everybody gets nominated to perform. It's a big privilege to be chosen, and I feel so proud, but my husband thinks it's not worth the stress, to the point that now, we are thinking of separating because of our big fight. We are all distraught, especially my son. He feels he won't be able to perform his solo well at the concert this afternoon. It's the last day of the Institute, and he is already scheduled to perform. Please ask God to give him the strength to perform his best despite the stress that has just happened in our family.

I feel God is punishing me just for being so human as to want my son to perform along with the other talented children who were chosen to do solos. They performed successfully these other days, is it a sin to want the same for my son? To want some recognition? Why is it that whenever I would like some recognition, some love, God always punishes me for it? Why doesn't He punish those other parents or families, who are more successful than us? Why always us?

As it is, we're such a dysfunctional family. Other families are so much better off emotionally, psychologically and financially compared to us. And now my husband and I have a big fight the night before my son's performance. He doesn't even want to come to our son's performance. Why all this punishment, God? What about the Mafia? Why don't you shoot them down??!!! Why me? Is it so wrong to want my son to perform well in front of our Suzuki community? It's not as if we're going to have worldwide fame and big bucks like the Olympic winners. Why does he shoot me down or make me suffer for any little desire I have for recognition??!!! I lack so much love. Why doesn't he show us his love more openly if he doesn't want us to seek recognition and approval??!!! There are other people who have more than us in every respect - financial, emotional, physical. They keep flying higher and higher. But he keeps shooting us down. It's as if God is so against me. PLEASE HELP ME! PLEASE ASK GOD TO HELP US ON THIS LAST DAY OF THIS ANNUAL INSTITUTE! PLEASE HELP MY MARRIAGE AND FAMILY!

Please pray for my 42 year old brother, who needs so much healing from his deep, emotional wounds. Please ask God to heal him from compulsive gambling, stealing and all his other problems and addictions. And please let the rehab center where he has been for the last 6 years really help him because our parents are helpless, dysfunctional and can only think of their own problems. Please ask God to heal our family and my brother once and for all! Thank you so much for your help!
