Name: NOVENA FOR PRIESTS Day 3 Tuesday June 30
Prayer: Prayer: Jesus, Good Shepherd, You sent us the Holy Spirit to guide Your Church and lead her faithful to You through the ministry of Your priests.

Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, grant to Your priests wisdom in leading, faithfulness in teaching, and holiness in guarding Your sacred Mysteries.

As they cry out with all the faithful, "Abba, Father!" may Your priests be ever more closely identified with You in Your divine Sonship and offer their own lives with You, the one saving Victim.

Make them helpful brothers of one another, and understanding fathers of all Your people.

On this Pentecost Sunday, renew in Your priests deeper faith, greater trust in You,
childlike reliance on our Mother Mary, and unwavering fidelity to the Holy Father and his bishops.

Holy Mary, intercede for your priests.
St. Joseph, protect them.
St. Michael, defend them.
St. John Vianney, pray for them.

Jesus, meek and humble of heart, give all priests Thy spirit of humility;

Jesus, poor and worn out for souls, give all priests Thy spirit of zeal;

Jesus, full of patience and mercy for sinners, give all priests Thy spirit of compassion;

Jesus, victim for the sins of the world, give all priests Thy spirit of sacrifice;

Jesus, lover of the little and the poor, give all priests Thy spirit of charity.

Mary, Queen of the Clergy, pray for us; and obtain for us numerous and holy priests and religious. Amen.

Name: THE WILL OF GOD
Prayer: "Sometimes in the spiritual life, we come to a halt because we insist on understanding and searching into God's plans for our soul. A faithful soul, on the other hand, does not linger to inquire about God's actions; even though not fully understanding them, it believes, following blindly, if necessary, the manifestation of His Will. This is pleasing to God who does not ask us to understand, but only to believe with all our strength." -Father Gabriel, OCD

Name: PRAYER TO THE PRECIOUS BLOOD
Prayer: Prayer (Basilica of the Precious Blood in Belgium)

Lord, Your Precious Blood reminds us of your suffering, your death and resurrection.

You relieved us of a nonsensical life and of an eternal death.

Give courage to those who bow down under oppression.

Give life to those who are living an empty life.

Give strength and resistance to those who work for peace and security.

Revive the fire of love among men and the flame of unity and tolerance among Christians.

Lord, Your Precious Blood reminds us of the New alliance between God and men.

It is the sign of your liking for us.

May this alliance grow every day.

Open my heart and my mind for every man You put on my road.

That Your Precious Blood give me the courage to bear witness to God.

Name: HOW TO FIND TRUE REST IN GOD
Prayer: HOW TO FIND TRUE REST IN GOD

It is not by agitating ourselves, or exciting ourselves, or making many acts, that we succeed in finding rest in God; it is by putting a stop to all agitation, to all over-eagerness, and all activity, that we may give free scope to the action of God: God is always acting, and always perfectly tranquil. The soul united to God shares equally in His action, and in His repose; she is always acting, even when she does not perceive it, but she acts then in the greatest peace; she does not outrun the action of God, but she waits till God pushes her forward; she moves under the Divine impulse, as the hand of a child, who is learning to write, moves under the impulse of his master's hand....The soul that is under the action of God is never for one moment idle, as those imagine who have no true idea of what rest in God really means.

Name: BLESSINGS FROM GOD
Prayer: BLESSINGS OF GOD by Saint Mark the Ascetic

You should continually and unceasingly call to mind all the blessings that God in His love has bestowed upon you in the past, and still bestows for the salvation of your soul. You must not let forgetfulness of evil or laziness make you grow unmindful of these many and great blessings, and so pass the rest of you life uselessly and ungratefully. For this kind of continual recollection moves the heart constantly to confession and humility, to thanksgiving with a contrite soul, and to all forms of sincere effort, repaying God through its virtue and holiness. In this way the he meditates constantly and conscientiously on the words from the Psalms: “What shall I give to the Lord in return for all His benefits towards me?” (Ps 116:12). Thus the soul recalls the blessings of God’s love which it has received from the moment it came into existence: how it has often been delivered from dangers; how in spite of having often fallen by its own free choice into great evil and sins, it was not justly given up to destruction and death at the hands of the spirits of deception; and how God with long-suffering overlooked its offenses and protected it, awaiting its return. It also recalls that although through the passions it had become the willing servant of hostile malicious spirits, he sustained it, guarding it, and in all ways providing for it; and finally that he guided it with a clear sign to the path of salvation.

Prayer: Almighty and ever-living God, I approach the sacrament of your only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

I come sick to the doctor of life, unclean to the fountain of mercy, blind to the radiance of eternal light, and poor and needy to the Lord of heaven and earth.

O my God I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee and I detest all of my sins because of thy just punishments but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, who art all good and worthy of all my love.

I firmly resolve with the help of thy grace to sin no more and to avoid the near occasion of sin.
Amen.

Prayer: Prayer To Jesus Crucified

Lord Jesus Christ, I thank Thee for loving me so completely.

Thou didst embrace the Cross so willingly,
Thou didst hang there so patiently,
Thou didst suffere so painfully,
and for me, a sinner,
Thou didst die and rise again on the third day.

Now, Lord, I commend myself to Thy love, to the power of Thy Passion, to the depths of Thy endless mercy.

Jesus Christ, in Thy measureless pity, keep alive in me the memory of Thy Holy Wounds and bitter death.

Gentle Jesus, defend me in all danger, and keep me so that I may stand before Thee in joy.

Protect my soul, Lord Jesus Christ, which Thou hast bought with Thy Precious Blood. Amen.
